Normally your Pokemon can only eat berries if they're below max HP, but it seems that Greedent's ability makes it so that it always picks up berries even if it is topped up on health. This makes it excellent at stealing berries from your opponents' lane, especially if you use Covet to bypass the slowdown effect.
Just be careful not to prematurely eat your own lane's berries!

2021.10.21 12:05 JackTrades4394 I can't bring myself to tell my mom I love her. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm in high school and it's so hard for me to tell my mom I love her, or really anyone. The last time I told my mom I loved her was like months ago, which is only because I felt bad about not ever telling her that and I know life is short.
so i did it every day before I left for school, but i eventually stopped after a few days because it makes me feel exposed and all mushy and I don't like feeling that way, especially in the morning lol. I guess I just struggle with being vulnerable. I also struggle with showing my emotions in general.
But my biggest fear is that one day I'm gonna regret not telling her more often. haha the last time I told her I loved her, she thought something was seriously wrong with me because I was so out of character. I haven't told my dad that I love him in like years, which is partially his fault because I don't feel emotionally safe around him.
I am more of an action person, so I'm more likely to show you than to tell you how I feel. Has anyone else experienced this?

Twice now I've attempted to learn programming. I don't 100% remember what language it was, but I know that after a few weeks of learning, I just couldn't wrap my head around it and ended up giving up.
I work Monday to Friday, and have weekends off, so I'm thinking of taking it up again, as I really want to learn. I feel like one of the reasons I fail is because I'm trying to be self-taught, and I've used plenty of resources, but I find it difficult to learn by myself, but I don't have the money, or the time to go to a school to learn.
What should I do? I don't have any preference to a language, but my main goal is to get a well paying career out of it, so that I can support my family by myself, and even be able to send my kids to private school, which is expensive as it is.
Can anyone offer advice? I feel like I'm wasting my time trying again, but I really do want to be able to do this.

2021.10.21 12:05 brenthuras [Advice] Here's a possible explanation why you continuously fail to do what you said you'd do
Here it is:
When it comes time for you to do the important work - whether it's to go to the gym, or wake up on time, or get some piece of work done - you'll run a question by yourself like so: "Must I do this right now? Or can I get away with not doing it right now?"
And you'll likely find that you can sleep in a little later, you can skip going to the gym today, and you can delay doing this important piece of work for another hour or day.
You'll end up delaying your work until the latest possible moment, after which you need to scramble frantically to get it done. OR in the case of something like working out or diet, you might just go your whole life without ever getting on top of it and only when you're nearing the end of your life you'll wonder if you could have done more, gone further.
In this post I'll share a technique that you can use to change this habit NOW so that you start doing things on time - when it's time to do them - so that you can truly get organized, get in control, and begin actualizing your life in more exciting ways.
"Can I get away with it?" -- How the game works. Just to be clear up front - even though you're going to learn what it takes to get in control and get your work done, none of this is going to make it enjoyable or easy... it just means you're going to do it. If the work is difficult, it will still be difficult.
But think of it like this: Suppose you want to get out of bed earlier, like at 7am instead of 9am. This can be difficult. But imagine that you need to get up at 7am in order to catch a flight to go on your vacation. Will you get up on time? Yes! Yes you will.
And why? Because not getting up is not an option, as far as you're concerned.
It's not just that either; we'll get up early in order to make it to work, or if we have some other promise to fulfill. But suppose you want to get up at 7am for you, because you said you want to... somehow we find it totally acceptable to just sleep in and deal with the consequences.
What you're doing is playing a game that's called "Can I get away with it?"
The alarm goes off and you ask yourself "Can I get away with sleeping in more?" If the answer is 'yes' you sleep in more. You keep playing more rounds of this game until the answer comes back 'No! I need to get up now.' And that's when you get up.
We tend to play this game with everything. Health, work, schoolwork, cleaning, tidying, meditating, reading. Basically anything that's necessary to do that's not enjoyable in an 'instant gratification way'.
The core message here is to stop playing this game. This is something that you can do.
How? You must first see, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it's a losing game.
"Can I get away with it?" is a losing game. You're probably starting to see this already, but let's really walk through it:
Every time you play "can I get away with it?" you leave something until the very latest possible moment before doing it. This means one of 2 things:
1) If it has a deadline, then you'll need to scramble to get it done. You'll be stressed, rushed, (likely) angry with yourself, and your work will be of mediocre-low quality. This means you can't offer your best work. This means that you can ascend into higher levels of success in your field/workplace.
2) If it doesn't have a deadline, then there's no reason to believe that you will ever get on top of it. It will be a fantasy that's never actualized. You'll pass all the way to your grace with this vision never taking place.
You may be waiting for a particular moment when you have "no choice" but to start acting. But there IS no such moment. Rather: that moment comes only when you realize there's nothing to wait for, and that life is just a series of days that you can act on or not. That moment could be now.
Becoming successful in some way is not an automatic process; it's manual. You yourself must do it.
The new game in town is Self-Leadership Now let's get into the step-by-step of how to start changing this around:
1) Make an inner declaration right now that you're no longer interested in playing "Can I get away with it?" - that beyond a shadow of a doubt, you can see that it's a losing game. Like, literally declare it to yourself right now. Say it aloud. It's a losing game, and it's not your game anymore. Even if you struggle weaning off it, that's fine, but your focus is on getting off this track ASAP.
2) Make a similar inner declaration right now to switch with the new game, which is "How actualized can I become?". Notice how different this question feels. How actualized can I become, if I start taking myself way more seriously, starting now? Let this be the presiding question that you ask from now on.
3) Arrive at a firm decision to take yourself seriously. You can get out of bed at 7am to catch your flight... so this means you can get out of bed. Are you willing to let your inner potential be as important as catching a flight?
Are you willing to make your morning meditation practice as important as keeping your salaried job? Don't skip past this part - really consider what it would be like to take your morning routine (or whatever habit) as seriously as your paid work.
4) Start issuing promises to yourself that you truly intend to keep. And make it of capital importance that you keep them. Let's be honest: can you really get yourself out of bed at 7am in the morning? If not, then how about 8?
We need a strong, reliable, integrous relationship between your word and action. Every time you say you'll do something and you don't do it, you're communicating that you don't respect what you say. We need to increase this respect.
Do you have some recurring event in your calendar that you keep ignoring? Then either delete it or start doing it.
Do you have books on your shelf that you promised to read but are not reading? Start reading them, or give up on them entirely.
Do you have links bookmarked for reading? Read them, or delete them.
Have you been talking about something you've been meaning to start? Or something that you've been meaning to complete? Schedule it in and start doing it. Or drop it completely.
Summary (TL;DR) I know this was somewhat long, but if you take this post seriously and take action on it, it will give you lift - it will give you the momentum you need to start creating the actual change that you're starving for.
To summarize though:
1) Notice where you keep delaying your important moves until it can't possibly be delayed any more. 2) Notice how you can maintain your level of existence this way, but you can never actualize your potential as long as you play the "delay game". Everything just stays mediocre. 3) Prioritize Self-Leadership more than anything. This means taking yourself seriously. This means taking it seriously when you say you're going to do something. 4) Don't say you're going to do something unless you're actually going to do it. This is an insult to you, when you do that. 5) Take some action on an important habit or project. Ideally today.
